Phase 1. Call for Ideas:  22nd September 2009 – 10th October  2009
In the first phase, IDEATE shall reach out to all B School and Engineering College Students who have solutions to the business case . All students are encouraged to read through the case and participate by submitting their idea in the appropriate Business Summary format: Download the Template. Students must form a group of 2- 3 each and must submit their business case by 0ctober 10th 2009, 6 pm. There shall not be any extension in the deadline.

Phase 1 Shortlist: 1st week of November 2009
A Jury comprising of Function heads from Whirlpool India’s Marketing and Sales Function and The Procurement Function shall be reviewing the contest entries.  The team shall draw out a shortlist of 10 entries.

Phase 2: Interface with Business: 1st week of November 2009 - 10th November 2009
In the Second Phase, the shortlisted students would be required to dwell deeper into the case and shall be provided with further information. This phase will involve an interface with the business leads. The same shall be arranged through Tele Conferencing or Face to Face Interaction wherever possible. The Students would also be required to visit the Market and collect comprehensive data to support their Business Strategy. All calls shall be made through Whirlpool India. All entries are to reach Whirlpool India in a Business Summary Format: A Word Document supported by a Power Point Presentation. All entries must be submitted latest by 10th November 2009.

Phase 2 Shortlist : 17th November 2009
A Jury comprising of Function heads from Whirlpool India’s Marketing and Sales Function and The Procurement Function shall be reviewing the contest entries.  The team shall draw out a shortlist of 3 entries.

Phase 3: Presentation to Leadership Team: 26th November 2009
The final shortlist of 3 participants , shall be asked to present their case to the Whirlpool India Leadership Team. The Shortlisted Teams shall be invited to the Corporate Office in Gurgaon for a 2 Day visit. The students shall be provided with to and fro Air Travel and Lodging And Boarding in the Whirlpool Guest House.
