The Whirlpool HOME CARE PROMISE PLAN (hereinafter referred to as Service Plan) is an Optional Maintenance Contract, to cover appliances in good working condition. This Service Plan is offered by Whirlpool of India (hereinafter referred to as the Company) to the Purchaser, through its authorized partners. Coverage provided by this Service Plan as described in these Terms and Conditions will begin on the start date of the validity period (subject to realization of Service Plan Charges, as seen in the Company’s Tariff Card, released from time-to-time), and automatically terminate at the end of such validity period as stated in confirmation of Whirlpool HOME CARE PROMISE PLAN registration issued by the Company.

What is covered:

During the term of this Service Plan, the Company, through its Authorized Service Personnel, will either:

Repair or replace at its own discretion, functional parts necessary to restore the appliance covered by the Service Plan, to operating condition. Considering continuous improvements & changes in technology / design / colors, it is possible that the replacement part may not identically match the defective part. However, the Company will be concerned only with restoring the covered appliance to working condition and to this effect, exercise its discretion in utilizing components that may be different from the components being repaired or replaced in terms of the design, specifications, color, shape and brand. In case the repair / replacement is not technically possible at the site, the Company reserves the right to get such repair / replacement done at its workshop. Functional parts are only those component parts that are critical to the performance of the appliance’s essential function, a component - the malfunction of which renders the appliance non-operational. Part Coverage details are mentioned below for all the appliances.

Washing Machine:

Semi-Auto: Wash Motor, Spin Motor, Wash timer, Spin timer Drive assembly, Capacitor. Visit and Transportation charges Covered

Fully-Auto: Motor, Pressure Sensor, drive assembly, capacitor, Inlet Valve, Suspension rod (assembly), PCB and one Time Preventive Maintenance. Visit and Transportation charges Covered

Front Loading : Motor, Pressure Sensor, drive assembly, capacitor, Inlet Valve, Suspension rod (assembly), PCB and one Time Preventive Maintenance. Visit and Transportation charges Covered

Bloomwash Series :Motor, Pressure Sensor, drive assembly, capacitor, Inlet Valve, Suspension rod (assembly), PCB and one Time Preventive Maintenance.

Direct Cool: Compressor*, Sealed system —Gas charging, Capillary, Drier, Relay, thermostat. Visit and Transportation charges Covered

Frost free: Compressor*, Sealed system —Gas charging, Capillary, Drier, Relay, thermostat, Fan Motor, Timer, PCB, Bi-metal, Heater and thermal Fuse

Air Conditioner:

Eco Plan :

Compressor, Gas charging, Capillary, Drier, Blower motor, Thermostat, Relay, capacitor, Oscillation motor, 1 preventive maintenance service in a year.

Comprehensive Plan:

Compressor, Gas charging, Capillary, Blower motor, PCB, Thermostat, Relay, capacitor, Louver motor, and 1 preventive maintenance service (One Wet) in a year

Condenser Coil & Evaporator Coil will be covered *once** under 1 & 2 Year Home Care Promise Plan coverage. Condenser Coil & Evaporator Coil will be covered Twice under 3 & 4 Year Home Care Promise Plan coverage.

Water Purifier (RO):

RO comprehensive plan :

All filters replacement (Filters will be replaced once at FOC and second time replacement of filters on chargeable basis ). Spare covered- Booster pump, transformer, SMPS, LPS, Float level controller/ pressure regulator and 2 Preventive Maintenance Services in a year.

Visit and Transportation charges Covered

RO Care Plan :Spare/Functional parts covered - Booster pump, transformer/SMPS, LPS, Float level controller/Pressure regulator only, 2 Preventive maintenance services.

Filter Delight Plan : One time all filter replacement ,Visit and Transportation charges covered. This Plan will be applicable within 30 Days of the purchase of the product upto 11th month of the Product warranty.

What is not covered?

Appliance wise exclusion is given below:

Washer: Aesthetic Components, Outer cabinet and Plastic Parts.

Refrigerator: Colored components, Plastic parts, Door Gasket assembly, Light bulb, light switch, Cabinet, Condenser (FF) and liner.

Air conditioner:

Eco Plan :Outer cabinet, Condenser coil, Evaporator coil, Rubber components, Plastic parts, Remote Handset, Front Grill.

Microwave: Fuse socket, Glass tray, Lamp, micro switch, Fan blade

Water Purifier (RO):

RO comprehensive plan: Plastic parts and Aesthetic parts.

RO Care Plan : All Filters, membrane, Plastic Parts, aesthetic parts and all other parts not specifically covered above shall be chargeable as per the Company Policy. All such parts will be replaced on MRP.

Filter Delight Plan : Membrane, All other spare parts [ Booster pump, transformer/SMPS, LPS, Float level controller/Pressure regulator and plastic parts.

How to obtain service:

Service under this Service Plan for all covered appliances must be performed by Whirlpool Authorized Service Personnel. You need to register your complaint at our call center i.e. at 080 651 88 888. Your call will be addressed by our service personnel within 24 hours. Service will be provided during the normal business hours on working days of the Whirlpool Authorized Service Center.

Limitations of coverage/liability:

1. This Service Plan will cover any or all of the following services as stated in the Leaflets, relevant to the appliance covered: A. Cost of the re-processed or replaced functional parts. B. Charges for labor, visits and transportation. C. Preventive maintenance visits only in case of RO, AC and Washer. Any call for diagnosis and replacement of non-functional parts during the term of this Service Plan will be billed at rates as applicable on the date of such service delivery .Whirlpool will not reimburse the purchaser for repair work performed by a third party, that is not arranged through this Service Plan.

2. Defective parts that have been replaced in the covered appliance are the property of the Company. They must be handed over to the Whirlpool Authorized Service Personnel.

3. To keep this Service Plan in force during its term, the Purchaser agrees to fully cooperate with the Company and its Authorized Service Personnel, during the diagnosis and repair of the covered appliance; to provide access to the covered appliance and a non-threatening and safe environment for service in his / her home; the presence of an adult at the time of scheduled service; and that he / she will provide the Company with proof of the date & value of purchase, brand, model and serial number of the covered appliance for contract coverage verification, prior to any service being scheduled under this Service Plan. The Purchaser further agrees to protect the appliances covered by this Service Plan from damage and to comply with any instructions included in the User Manual for the appliance.

4. Whirlpool is not and shall never be liable for repair or replacement, for any appliance, caused by defects that existed prior to the purchase of this Service Plan, or for any loss, injury or damage, including, but not limited to, incidental or consequential damages, because of any delay in providing service, repair, replacement or refund under this Service Plan.

Exclusions from coverage:

1. Any appliance used for other than normal, single family household use. Coverage of appliances used in business or commercial applications as well as community use, will be determined at the sole discretion of the Company.

2. Normal maintenance and cleaning as suggested in the User Manual supplied with the appliance (i.e. cleaning of filters, lint removal, etc.). Such maintenance & cleaning is covered only in case of appliances covered by plans.

3. Damage to appliance caused by accident, misuse, theft, riot, strikes, fire, flood, infestation, environmental damage, accidental or intentional interruption of electrical power, inadequate or fluctuating electrical power, plumbing, water lines connected to the appliance but not internal to it, war, acts of God, use of spurious parts or use of the appliance in a manner not authorized in its User Manual.

4. Damage to appliance incurred while moving the appliance to another location or reinstalling it after it has been moved.

5. Removing or reinstalling of an appliance installed in an inaccessible location or not installed in accordance with its installation instructions.

6. Finish defects, discoloration, dents, scratches, peeling, rusting, corrosion, or component failure resulting from rust or corrosion on any appliance. Deterioration in condenser coils due to environmental / climatic conditions.

7. Non-functional parts and labor in connection with the diagnosis and replacement of non-functional parts is not covered by this Service Plan.

8. Noise and / or vibrations caused by moving components as in the compressor, motor, fans, etc.

9.1. Repair or replacement of any appliance with removed or altered serial numbers on the appliance chassis and on critical components, including but not limited to, components such as compressors, motors.

Transfer of ownership:

The Purchaser can transfer Service Plan protection if ownership of the appliance is transferred. To transfer coverage, the Purchaser should send written notice to the Company at the address in paragraph 6 B below. The written notice must include the current Service Plan number and the name, address, city, state, pin code and telephone number of the new owner. Resumption of services at transferred location will be subject to appliance being found in good working condition, upon inspection by Authorized Service Provider of such location.

Renewals, Cancellations and Terminations:

1. The Company does not renew Service Plans. New Service Plans are issued to replace old Service Plans as they expire. The Company is not obligated to offer a new Service Plan when the current Plan expires. Service Plans are not available for appliances (Refrigerator, Washing Machine- Semi or Fully Automatic )over 7-years old and 5 years old for Air conditioner, Washing Machine – Front Loading and Bloomwash Series, Microwaves, and 6 Year old for Water Purifiers.

2. A Purchaser who decides that the services rendered in the Plan period are unsatisfactory, can cancel the Service Plan by giving written intimation to the Company or its Authorized Service Personnel, within 30 days of such occurrence and obtain a refund of the pro-rata Service Plan charges paid for the unused period of the Plan, less any outstanding balance owed to the Company or its Authorized Service Personnel. The Purchaser shall have no other monetary claim whatsoever for any direct or indirect or consequential loss or damages. Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing to: Head – Consumer Care Cell, Whirlpool Of India, Plot No. 40, Sector – 44, Gurugram – 122002, Haryana, India or Helpdeskindia@whirlpool.in.

3. In case product is not repairable then WOIL will refund the AMC amount on Pro-rata basis.

4. The Company may cancel this Service Plan for reasons including, but not limited to, non-payment, misuse of the appliance, or unauthorized modifications to the appliance. In the event of cancellation (except for non-payment), the Company will refund the remaining days of the Service Plan coverage on a daily pro-rated basis less any outstanding balance owed to the Company or its Authorized Service Personnel. In the event of cancellation (except for non-payment, material misrepresentation by the Purchaser or a substantial breach of duties by him / her relating to the covered appliance or its use), the Company will mail to the Purchaser’s last known address, a notice stating the effective date of the cancellation and the reason for the cancellation.

5. If the Service Plan terminates because the Purchaser moves the covered appliance to a location that is out of reach of the Whirlpool Service Network in India, the Purchaser will notify Whirlpool in writing at the address in paragraph B above, for a refund of the remaining days of the Service Plan coverage on a daily pro-rated basis, less any pending payments to the Company.

Governing Law: This Service Plan is issued in Delhi and the courts of Delhi will have exclusive jurisdiction on matters covered by or following from this Service Plan.

The Service Plan charges are subject to statutory levies as may be applicable from time to time. Such levies are payable by the purchaser in addition to the Service Plan charges as announced from time to time.
