  • 75gms Besan
  • ltbsp Sooji
  • 1/8tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1tsp Sugar
  • 1/2tsp Salt
  • 1/2tsp.Eno Salt
  • 100ml Water
  • FOr Tempering :
  • ltbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1/4 Salt
  • 1/4 Sugar
  • 150ml Water
  • 3tsp Lemon Juice
  • Chopped Coriander for Garnish


  • Add all the dry ingredients (except ENO) of khaman in the bowl and mix well
  • Add water gradually to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency. Take care there are no lumps present
  • Add ENO salt to the batter and whisk it to make the batter fluffy
  • Take a microwave safe bowl (or microwave friendly baking tray) and grease it with 2-3 drops of oil
  • Pour the batter into the greased dish and cover tightly with a cling wrap. Puncture a couple of small holes on the top of the wrap for steam to
  • Microwave the ingredients for 5 mins (max)
  • Take it out of the microwave, remove the cling wrap and let it rest for 5 minutes before removing it from the bowl/ tray For Dhokla Syrup
  • Add oil, mustard seeds in a bowl for 1 minute
  • Add sliced green chilli
  • Remove bowl from the microwave and add water, sugar, salt, lemon juice and mix well
  • Serve dhokla hot or cold, with syrup and freshly chopped coriander leaves
